Overview
WedPlanr is designed to help hosts create wedding or engagement party invitations, manage RSVPs, share event details, send guest updates, and collect guest information.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use WedPlanr.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information created through your use of the app, and limited technical information needed to run the service.
Account information
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number, if provided
- User ID
- Profile photo, if provided
- Authentication details needed to keep your account secure
Event and invitation information
- Event type, event name, partner names, and event date
- Venue name, address, map details, and venue image if uploaded
- Schedule details and guest information notes
- Invite codes, invite links, and admin or guest membership information
Guest and RSVP information
- Guest name, email address, and phone number if provided
- RSVP status, plus-one details, and attendee details
- Dietary requirements, meal selections, and guest notes
Photos and moments
If you use the Moments feature, we may collect photos, captions, uploader details, and upload timestamps. Camera and photo library access is only used when you choose to take or upload a photo.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, we may collect and store device push notification tokens so that we can send relevant event updates, RSVP reminders, guest updates, and other app notifications.
Location and maps
WedPlanr may display venue locations and maps. Venue addresses and coordinates may be stored so they can be shown to guests. WedPlanr does not sell your location data.
Payment information
If you make an in-app purchase, payment is handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full card number, bank details, or Apple ID payment credentials.

2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage user accounts
- Let hosts create and manage events
- Let guests join events using invite links or invite codes
- Collect and display RSVPs
- Show venue, schedule, guest information, and event details
- Send app notifications and guest updates
- Upload and display event photos and moments
- Process invite emails and event-related communications
- Manage in-app purchases and promo code access
- Provide customer support and protect the security of the app
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and App Store requirements
We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for third-party advertising or to track users across apps or websites for advertising purposes.
3. Sharing Information
Some information is visible to other people in the same event. Hosts can view guest RSVP details, dietary requirements, guest details, and attendee information. Guests may see event details, venue information, schedules, updates, and moments shared within the event.
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate WedPlanr, including Firebase, Supabase, Apple, and map providers where map or venue search functionality is used.
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, regulation, or a valid government request, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of WedPlanr, users, or others.
4. Data Storage and Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide WedPlanr, maintain event records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise personal information associated with your account where reasonably possible, subject to legal, security, or operational requirements.
6. Account Deletion
You can request account deletion from within the app. Deleting your account may remove your account profile, event access, events where you are the sole admin, and related event data controlled by your account, depending on your role.
If you are a guest in an event, deleting your account may remove your access and related user profile data, but some RSVP or event records may remain where needed by the host or for operational reasons.
7. Your Choices
You can update your account details, manage notification preferences, disable push notifications through your device settings, choose whether to provide optional information, request account deletion, and contact us about privacy questions or requests.
Device permissions, such as camera, photo library, notifications, and location, can also be controlled through your device settings.
8. Children's Privacy
WedPlanr is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. UK and EEA Privacy Rights
If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, you may have rights under data protection law, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, request a copy of your personal data, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may notify users through the app or another appropriate method.
